Terms and Conditions



AlleyCat Models is a small independently owned run business, it is therefore very flexible towards its customers and needs. We will always stand by our word and will do as much as possible to assist in any way possible and will rectify any errors on our part to ensure that the customers are happy and that their needs are met. However there are a few points that we need to make very clear in order to protect both us and you the customer. (At checkout you the customer will need to confirm you have read and accept all of these points, and by doing so you you the customer are accepting and confirming you have done just that, and cannot state differently at a later date). The points are as follows:

1.  All customers have the delivery option of RECORDED MAIL FOR THE UK  or INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD  on all  items ordered. In the event of these services not been selected by the customers, we cannot and will not be held responsible for lost items in the postal systems, and all parcels will then be sent via standard postal methods.
We always retain proof of postage and we will try to assist where and whenever possible. Should you have any questions about pricing on the postage and or the Recorded or International Signed For postage, please confirm before placing the  order.
All customers who are unsure about the International Signed For option, what this means is that the parcel obtains a tracking number and then AlleyCat Models and or you the customer can trace the parcel. This does offer more security within the  postal systems and there is even the option of taking further insured cover for very high value items, but this is all at your request.

2.  We do take the best possible care in packing all parcels and we do trust that all will reach their destinations safely. Once again we cannot be held responsible for  any accidents or incidents that occur while in the postal system, such as damage caused by spilt liquids, fire or excessive rough handling by the postal services.

3. All orders will be posted once all items of the order are ready unless agreed otherwise, once the payment has cleared. Posting is normally done at least 3 times a week. All orders will be sent an email on the day the parcel is dispatched. All post in  the UK is sent via Royal Mail in the method chosen (Standard or Signed For etc), and internationally via airmail again through Royal Mail. Please allow 10 working days for UK delivery from date of despatch email. Delivery guide lines can be found via Royal Mails' website etc. Before reporting a missing item do check with you local Royal Mail Delivery Office for items being held there. Please allow 28 working days for international post before reporting a missing item, and again check with your local delivery service. If the item was sent using the selected 'Standard Postage Option' no tracking will be available and shipping risk is with the customer. Undelivered items do get returned as these can then be resent at cost to the customer (Unless an error was made writing the address at our end) Further details on the retention and return procedures of Royal mail can be found on their website etc.

4.  All orders will be held open for a period of 3 days for U.K., and 7 days for International,
if not paid for electronically at time of order pending arrival of payment. Thereafter if the payment has not been received your order will be cancelled. Should we be notified that the payment is on the way to us by email or phone we will obviously waiver this and keep the order open until payment is made/received.

5.  You have the right to cancel your order within seven days of placement, or seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). Should you change your mind and cancel your order before the goods are dispatched, it will be refunded to you in full.  Should you change your mind and cancel your order after it has been mailed or once you have received it a refund will only be given for the goods only once the goods have been returned to us (at your costs) in good re-sell condition.  The postage for sending the item will not be refunded.
Should a product be faulty or an item is supplied short, incomplete or wrongly, by AlleyCat Models we will at all times do our very best to rectify the issue, please bear in mind this may incur a delay if items need casting. Please make any claims about missing or broken parts within 1 week of receiving the order. The deal is we would like happy customers and will within reason to do our best in order to assist to you the customer.

6. Please ensure all non electronic payments are made in Pound Sterling.

7. Please remember and be aware that all resin casting is a manual process that has a number of facets that can restrict casting times. Stock is always held of current items, however depending on current pending orders items may still need casting for your order. Solid resin is under normal circumstances cast up and packed for sale within 4 weeks, clear resin due to the greater challenges of production can run to 6 weeks under normal circumstances.

8. All personal data is provided to us (AlleyCat Models) via direct entry for each order by the customer and thus freely given, for the sole purpose of complying with the details of the order. This will entail a number of emailed status confirmation updates, and contact if required via email or telephone for order checking by AlleyCat Models if there is a problem with the order, and of course replying to any contact made by the customer. The data applicable to each order will also be retained after order completion in order to comply with U.K. HMRC rules only, at the end of the compliance period it will be automatically removed and destroyed. At no time will it be used for ANY marketing purposes and will NEVER be passed on to a third party.
